Washington, Jan 30 (NationPress) The documentary ‘Melania’, which explores First Lady Melania Trump’s journey back to the White House, had its red carpet debut on Thursday at Washington’s Kennedy Centre. President Donald Trump described it as a significant portrayal of presidential life.

The President and First Lady graced the red carpet amidst a flurry of photographers and reporters, marking the film's debut in the capital. Speaking with the press, Trump revealed he had viewed the documentary for the first time just days prior.

“I watched it for the first time two nights ago. I loved it. I thought it was truly outstanding,” he stated.

He characterized the film as visually stunning and emotionally intricate. “It’s really good. Glamorous. Very glamorous,” he remarked, adding, “We need some glamour. We do in the country.” He emphasized that the documentary showcases aspects of life in the White House that are rarely accessible to the public.

“I consider it a very important film. It illustrates life in the White House. It’s quite significant, actually,” he commented.

When asked about his role in the production, Trump clarified that he had no creative input. “I really had none,” he said. “That was done by my wife.” He described Melania Trump as the driving force behind the project, referring to it as “her baby,” and added, “She truly produced it, and she’s accomplished something great. This is a very important piece of work.”

During his conversation with the media, Trump reiterated that the event was focused on the First Lady rather than political matters. “Tonight is about the First Lady,” he stated. He portrayed Melania as “a very serious person,” “very, very brilliant,” and “highly influential,” saying, “She’s someone I rely on.”

In response to a question, the President suggested that viewers would gain a more profound understanding of Melania Trump through the documentary. “I think they knew she was intelligent, but perhaps… they’ll witness something that elevates beyond just the term smart,” he said. He added that the film emphasizes her influence.

Melania, when addressing questions, mentioned that the film encompasses a broad emotional spectrum. “They will experience a lot of emotion, fashion, grief, sadness, celebration, love,” she noted. She described the project as closely following her during a demanding period. “They accompanied me from morning until evening,” she said.

She explained that the film chronicles her return to the role of First Lady, detailing preparations for the inauguration and the relocation to the White House. “The schedule was very intense,” she stated, adding that it illustrates her efforts in planning the inauguration, managing business and philanthropic activities, caring for family, and establishing the East Wing. She also mentioned it captures interactions with security personnel and the hiring process for staff who “serve the American people.”

Trump noted that the documentary also acts as a visual documentation of the White House itself. “The cinematography is beautiful, the entire presentation,” he said, referring to it as “a modern-day history of the White House.” He suggested that audiences would learn about government and the presidency through the perspective of the First Lady. “You’ll learn about the White House. You’ll learn about government, and you’ll learn about the First Lady,” he asserted.

He also discussed the decision to release the film in theaters, acknowledging the challenges faced by cinemas. “It’s a very tough business… since COVID,” Trump commented, expressing confidence that the film would perform well beyond theaters, including on streaming platforms.
