New Delhi, July 31 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan reaffirmed their commitment to enhance the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries during a phone conversation, as stated by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Thursday.

The two leaders, who connected on Wednesday, reiterated their mutual dedication to fortifying the bilateral Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between India and the United Arab Emirates.

"They positively evaluated the remarkable advancements made across various sectors of bilateral cooperation and stressed the importance of further developing and intensifying collaboration for the shared benefit of the citizens of both nations," the MEA's statement read.

Sheikh Mohamed extended his warm congratulations to Prime Minister Modi for becoming the second longest-serving Prime Minister in India’s history, wishing him continued success in his service to the nation. PM Modi expressed gratitude to the UAE leader for his kind wishes and the affection shown towards the people of India.

"The two parties also discussed strategies to strengthen ties to serve mutual interests while promoting sustainable development and prosperity for their populations. His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and His Excellency Modi expressed their eagerness to enhance relations between their countries in alignment with their shared vision for achieving further prosperity for their peoples," stated the UAE President's office following the phone call.

It was added that the UAE President wished PM Modi ongoing success in his service to India and its citizens.

Last month, during his trip to Abu Dhabi, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri met with Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the UAE's Minister of Tolerance and Co-Existence, and highlighted the common values of harmony and tolerance shared by India and UAE.

Prior to the Foreign Secretary's visit, a high-level all-party delegation from India, led by Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Eknath Shinde, concluded a successful visit to the UAE, significantly enhancing India-UAE cooperation in combating terrorism under the global outreach campaign of Operation Sindoor.
