The toll from the initial 7.7-magnitude earthquake has tragically increased to 3,600 deaths, with 5,017 injured and 160 missing, according to the State Administration Council's Information Team, as cited by the Xinhua news agency.
This powerful quake, followed by a 6.4 magnitude aftershock mere minutes later, struck the Mandalay region of the Southeast Asian nation on March 28, causing widespread devastation and loss of life.
