Washington, July 8 (NationPress) Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has formally nominated US President Donald Trump for the prestigious Nobel Peace Prize. This announcement was made during a dinner at the White House, where Netanyahu presented the nomination letter to the US leader.
This meeting occurred shortly after Trump declared a ceasefire between Iran and Israel, which concluded a 12-day escalating conflict that initiated on June 13.
The White House released a statement saying, "President Trump is actively promoting peace in various countries and regions. Therefore, I would like to present you, Mr. President, with the letter I sent to the Nobel Prize committee, which nominates you for this well-deserved peace prize," Netanyahu remarked.
