Sydney, Dec 3 (NationPress) A tragic incident occurred in eastern Australia, resulting in the death of a man and injuries to two others from a shooting at a property on Wednesday afternoon.

According to a statement from the New South Wales (NSW) police, emergency services were notified of the shooting in the quaint town of Eungella, located over 640 km northeast of Sydney near the Queensland border, at approximately 1:25 pm local time.

Upon arrival, officers were informed that two men, aged 38 and 41, had sustained gunshot wounds inflicted by another male who fled the scene with a third individual.

The 41-year-old was treated by ambulance personnel but unfortunately died on-site, while the 38-year-old was taken to a hospital for treatment of his injuries.

In a related incident, emergency services responded to a separate occurrence nearby where a 45-year-old man was struck by a vehicle. He was subsequently transported to the hospital under police supervision.

NSW Police reported that officers are currently awaiting interviews with the two injured men to clarify the events leading to their injuries and are also in pursuit of a fourth individual, believed to be 37 years old.

On November 28, another shooting incident resulted in a man's death after he was shot multiple times on a street in western Sydney.

NSW Police stated that officers were dispatched following reports of a public shooting in a residential area of Blacktown, located 30 kilometers west of central Sydney, around 11:50 am on November 28.

Upon arrival, they discovered a man with multiple gunshot wounds to his neck, chest, and leg. Despite receiving emergency medical care, he succumbed to his injuries on-site.

Officers initiated a chase when a vehicle seen departing the scene failed to halt. Shortly thereafter, the vehicle crashed, and two individuals who fled were apprehended and taken to a nearby police station.

A crime scene was established, and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting has been initiated.
