Over 65,000 Employment Licenses Granted in Afghanistan

Kabul, Dec 7 (NationPress) The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of the Afghan caretaker government has granted over 65,000 employment licenses in the last eight months, as stated by the ministry's spokesperson, Samiullah Ebrahimi.
During a conversation with local media outlet Tolonews on Saturday, Ebrahimi disclosed that the ministry has provided work permits to more than 65,000 individuals, which includes women and some foreign nationals, since March, as reported by Xinhua news agency.
While he did not share further specifics, the spokesperson emphasized that the caretaker administration is committed to creating job opportunities as part of their initiatives to combat poverty in this economically challenged nation.
Meanwhile, local economic analysts suggest that initiating large-scale development projects and promoting investment from both Afghan and foreign companies could significantly help in alleviating poverty in the Central Asian country.
