Islamabad, April 11 (NationPress) A recent official report has unveiled a staggering number of criminal activities in Pakistan for 2024, with over 11,074 murders, 2,142 gang rape incidents, and 34,688 cases of kidnapping or abduction. Notably, the capital city Islamabad has recorded more gang rape cases than all other provinces combined.

According to the data, the Punjab province leads with a total of 2046 gang rape cases, surpassing the combined total of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Balochistan. Sindh has reported 71 gang rape instances, while KP documented one gang rape and 402 adultery cases.

In Islamabad, there were 22 reported gang rapes and 125 cases of adultery. Balochistan reported 43 instances of adultery.

The report indicates a total of 34,688 kidnapping/abduction cases across Pakistan in 2024. Of these, Punjab accounted for an alarming 28,702 cases, the highest among all provinces.

The Sindh province recorded 4,331 kidnappings, while KP reported 533, Balochistan had 406, Islamabad noted 238, and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir indicated 370 abductions.
