The team arrived in Riyadh on Wednesday (Indian time) and subsequently met with India’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Suhel Khan, at the India House.
As part of their visit, the delegation paid floral tributes to the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at the Indian Embassy in Riyadh.
“Alongside my colleagues from the all-party delegation, we honored Mahatma Gandhi with floral tributes, reflecting on his enduring message of peace, non-violence, and tolerance. Our discussions with Ambassador Suhel Khan reaffirmed India’s steadfast commitment to combating terrorism and promoting global peace,” Panda shared on X.
Throughout their three-day visit, the delegation plans to engage with a diverse range of political figures, government officials, thought leaders, business representatives, and the media. They will also connect with the Indian community, as stated by the Indian Embassy in Riyadh.
On Tuesday, the delegation marked their arrival in Riyadh, completing the third leg of a four-nation tour aimed at emphasizing the significance of Operation Sindoor and India’s ongoing battle against terrorism backed by Pakistan, following successful visits to Kuwait and Bahrain.
The group was welcomed by Abdulrahman Sntian A. Alharbi, Chairman of the Saudi-India Parliamentary Friendship Committee of the Shura Council.
“India’s position on terrorism remains uncompromising — this is the message we are bringing to Saudi Arabia with our all-party delegation. I appreciate the warm welcome extended by Abdulrahman Alharbi, as we begin crucial discussions to enhance our partnership,” Panda noted on X.
The delegation includes BJP MPs Nishikant Dubey, Phangnon Konyak, Rekha Sharma, Satnam Singh Sandhu, along with Asaduddin Owaisi from AIMIM, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, and former Indian diplomat Harsh Vardhan Shringla.
During their visit, they will interact with various political dignitaries, government officials, and representatives of the media, as well as engage with members of the Indian community.
On their final day of engagements in Kuwait, the delegation participated in multiple media outreach and cultural exchanges intended to fortify bilateral relationships and showcase India’s united front against terrorism.
“The delegation concluded their fruitful visit to Kuwait by effectively communicating India’s message of 'Zero Tolerance' and 'New Normal' towards terrorism to an array of stakeholders, including the government, civil society, and the Indian community,” the Indian Embassy in Kuwait reported.
