Prime Minister Modi Receives Ceremonial Guard of Honour at Bayan Palace in Kuwait

Kuwait City, Dec 22 (NationPress) On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was bestowed with a ceremonial Guard of Honour at Bayan Palace, Kuwait, in the presence of Kuwaiti Prime Minister Mohammed Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah.
This event marked a pivotal moment during PM Modi's two-day visit to the Gulf nation, the first by an Indian Prime Minister in 43 years.
During his visit, PM Modi is scheduled to engage in high-level discussions with the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and the Crown Prince of Kuwait.
Following this, delegation-level talks with the Kuwaiti Prime Minister will take place, where both leaders will deliberate on various aspects of bilateral relations, including politics, trade, investment, energy, culture, and people-to-people ties, while identifying measures to enhance these areas.
Prime Minister Modi arrived in Kuwait on Saturday afternoon, receiving a grand reception upon his arrival. This visit, at the invitation of the Amir of Kuwait, aims to elevate India's already strong relations with Gulf nations.
Immediately after landing, PM Modi visited a labor camp in the Mina Abdullah area, where he interacted with a diverse group of Indian workers. He inquired about their well-being and emphasized several welfare initiatives launched by the Indian government over the past decade.
Later on, the Prime Minister addressed a large congregation of the Indian diaspora at the 'Hala Modi' event, held at the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Indoor Sports Complex in Kuwait City. During his speech, PM Modi praised the contributions of the Indian community in Kuwait, recognizing their crucial role in reinforcing India-Kuwait relations.
PM Modi also invited the Indian diaspora to participate in forthcoming global events such as Pravasi Bharatiya Divas and the Maha Kumbh, scheduled for next month. He stressed India's emergence as a global development hub and a prospective growth engine for the world.
This significant visit is set to strengthen India's partnership with Kuwait, enhancing cooperation in political and economic domains while reinforcing cultural and interpersonal ties.
The interactions during PM Modi's visit are projected to lay a solid foundation for a future-focused and mutually beneficial collaboration between the two countries.
