London, Feb 12 (NationPress) In a troubling incident of racial abuse aboard a train in the UK, a 26-year-old woman of Indian descent was subjected to a brutal verbal attack by a man alleged to be under the influence of alcohol. The episode took place on Sunday while Gabrielle Forsyth was journeying from London to Manchester. Engaging in a friendly discussion with another passenger, she spoke about her charitable work aiding immigrants.
This seemingly harmless comment provoked a hostile response from a nearby passenger, who was consuming a beverage and began a xenophobic outburst.
A video of the altercation, which has since been removed, displayed the man hurling racist insults at Forsyth and other travelers while glorifying England's colonial history.

"The volume of vitriol I've received from this single video is staggering. I've been subjected to slurs I was previously unaware of. I am very concerned about the rights of individuals of color in this country, and I believe we are regressing," she articulated.
Forsyth has lodged a report with the British Transport Police (BTP).
She also expressed her pride in her roots, asserting, "Being Indian, the child of an immigrant, and connected to my history and culture is a gift. I defend myself and advocate for people of color, and I support us wholeheartedly."
This incident follows closely on the heels of another racist encounter on an Avanti West Coast train, where a woman instructed an NHS dentist to "go back to your own country."
A video of that situation depicted the woman launching racist comments at a fellow passenger, an NHS dentist, telling him to "go back to Morocco or Tunisia."
The dentist, born in the UK, replied, "Why would you say that? That's so disrespectful. I was born here. Were you born here?" To which the woman dismissively responded, "Doesn't look like it."
