Russian Military Claims Control Over Two Villages in Donetsk Region

Moscow, Dec 1 (NationPress) The Russian military has reported the acquisition of control over the villages of Ilyinka and Petrovka in the Donetsk region, according to a statement from the Russian Defense Ministry on Sunday.
Throughout the previous night, Russian air defense units successfully intercepted and eliminated 29 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles across the Bryansk, Kaluga, Smolensk, and Kursk regions, the ministry disclosed.
In parallel, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported on Telegram that over 30 Russian attack drones were downed overnight. He added that Russia deployed over 500 guided aerial bombs, nearly 660 attack drones, and around 120 missiles of various types against Ukraine in the past week.
As per TASS calculations derived from the reports by the Russian Defense Ministry released on Sunday, the Russian military has captured a total of 88 settlements across the Donetsk, Lugansk, Zaporizhzhia, Kursk, and Kharkov Regions during the autumn of 2024.
