South Korea: Joint Investigation by Police and Defence Ministry Initiated Over Yoon's Martial Law Declaration

Seoul, Dec 11 (NationPress) A coalition consisting of South Korea's anti-corruption investigation agency, police, and the Defence Ministry announced on Wednesday the formation of a joint task force to investigate President Yoon Suk Yeol's martial law declaration.
The coalition includes the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials, the National Investigation Office of the National Police Agency, and the Ministry of Defence.
These three entities, alongside the prosecution, have been conducting independent investigations into the martial law announcement made on December 3, which was revoked just hours later following a vote by the National Assembly to annul it, as reported by Yonhap news agency.
Earlier today, police executed a raid on the presidential office to collect evidence related to the martial law order, including documentation from a Cabinet meeting that took place shortly before Yoon made the announcement.
