Three Major Explosions Shake the Syrian Capital

Damascus, Dec 8 (NationPress) On Sunday, three significant explosions echoed through Syria's capital, Damascus, which are suspected to be Israeli airstrikes targeting abandoned military installations, as per reports from local media.
The blasts shook the Mazzeh neighborhood of the city and are part of a series of strikes conducted throughout Syria.
According to the Voice of the Capital, a local monitoring organization, simultaneous attacks targeted regions in the countryside of Daraa and Sweida provinces, although the scale of destruction and possible casualties is still unclear, as reported by Xinhua news agency.
The Mazzeh area houses air defense systems and a military airport, which is a crucial installation for the Syrian military near the capital. This airbase has previously been the target of Israeli strikes intended for Iranian-linked sites or weapons transfers.
These developments follow an announcement by Syrian opposition fighters earlier on Sunday, proclaiming the end of President Bashar al-Assad's rule in Damascus.
