Tragic Death of Australian Teen Following Snake Encounter

Sydney, Nov 28 (NationPress) A tragic incident occurred when an Australian teenager lost his life after a bite from a venomous brown snake in the yard of his family home, as reported by local media on Thursday.

The 16-year-old was oblivious to the fact that he had been bitten on the foot by the snake while in his family yard in Wurdong Heights, a small town situated over 400 km north of Brisbane in Queensland, on Monday. He only realized something was wrong when he walked inside and collapsed, as per a report from the Xinhua News Agency, citing Australia's 9News.

His family immediately contacted an ambulance and rushed him to a nearby hospital in critical condition. Later, he was airlifted to a hospital in Brisbane, where he was put on life support and unfortunately passed away late on Wednesday, according to statements from a family friend.

Queensland Health recommends that individuals who are bitten by a snake should call triple zero and apply a bandage and splint to the affected area.
