Trump Appoints Warren Stephens as the Next US Ambassador to the UK

Washington, Dec 3 (NationPress) US President-elect Donald Trump has put forward the name of Warren Stephens, a 67-year-old investment banker hailing from Arkansas, to be the next US Ambassador to Britain.
Trump announced on his social media platform, Truth Social, saying, "I am pleased to declare that Warren A. Stephens...has been nominated to fulfill the role of the United States Ambassador to the Court of St. James's, where he will represent our nation in the United Kingdom," as reported by the Xinhua news agency.
Stephens, a longstanding member of the Republican Party and CEO of the Arkansas-based private investment bank Stephens Inc., has made significant financial contributions to Trump's campaigns during the 2020 and 2024 elections.
However, his support for Trump has not been unwavering. In the 2016 Presidential race, he backed a political initiative aimed at halting Trump's rise.
During the 2024 Republican presidential primaries, he was a prominent donor to Nikki Haley, the former US Ambassador to the United Nations, who ultimately withdrew from the race to pave the way for Trump's nomination.
Upon his nomination, Stephens expressed his gratitude, stating, "I have conveyed to President Trump my pride in serving our country and his administration, striving to advance the President's agenda and enhance the enduring partnership between the United States and the United Kingdom."
