Washington, Jan 20 (NationPress) President Donald Trump on Monday stated that he will sign executive orders to declare a national emergency at the border, with plans to immediately cease all illegal entries and initiate the process of deporting individuals who have entered the U.S. unlawfully.
Trump further announced that he would deploy military personnel to fortify the border.
The President laid out an array of initiatives aimed at reversing America's decline and ushering in a golden era. These initiatives include establishing a new agency to collect tariffs on foreign goods, renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America, and commencing the efforts to reclaim the Panama Canal under U.S. governance.
His office also confirmed that the U.S. would be withdrawing from the Paris Climate Accord, an action he had previously taken during his first term.
“I will declare a National Emergency at our southern border,” Trump declared in his inaugural speech regarding the executive orders to be enacted by his administration.
“All illegal entry will stop immediately, and we will start the process of sending millions of criminal aliens back to their countries of origin. We will reinstate our Mexico policy. I will put an end to the practice of catch and release, and I will deploy troops to the southern border to counter the disastrous invasion of our nation,” he asserted.
President Trump also mentioned his intention to introduce new tariffs, as he had pledged during his campaign.
“I will promptly initiate a revamp of our trade system to safeguard American workers and families. Rather than imposing taxes on our citizens to benefit foreign nations, we will tax and tariff foreign entities to enrich our populace. We are establishing an external revenue service to gather all tariffs, duties, and revenues. Significant funds are expected to flow into our treasury from foreign sources, and the American dream will soon flourish like never before, restoring competence and effectiveness to our federal government,” he stated.
The President did not specify the particular tariffs that would be imposed or on which countries.
Regarding foreign policy, he remarked that, as in his first term, “we will again construct the most formidable military the world has ever known. Our success will be measured not just by the battles we win but also by the wars we conclude, and perhaps most crucially, the conflicts we avoid.”
“My most cherished legacy will be as a peacemaker and unifier,” he expressed.
“That is my aspiration—to be a peacemaker and a unifier. I am pleased to announce that, as of yesterday, just one day before I assumed office, hostages in the Middle East are returning to their families. America will reclaim its rightful position as the most powerful, respected nation on Earth, inspiring admiration and awe across the globe,” he added.
He mentioned that he would soon issue an order to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America.
He stated that the U.S. will regain control of the Panama Canal. “We have been treated unfairly regarding this foolish gift that should never have been made, and Panama's commitments to us have been violated. The essence of our agreement and the spirit of our treaty have also been compromised. American vessels are being severely overcharged and treated unfairly, which includes the United States Navy. Most importantly, China is operating the Panama Canal. We did not hand it over to China; we granted it to Panama, and we are taking it back,” the President concluded.
