Ankara, April 11 (NationPress) Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that Turkey will persist in its collaboration with Indonesia to restore Gaza and support the Palestinian cause, as stated by the Turkish Presidency.

"We value Indonesia's position on the Palestinian issue. In the upcoming period, we will continue our joint efforts with Indonesia to rebuild Gaza and advocate for the Palestinian cause," Erdogan declared on Thursday during a joint press briefing with his visiting Indonesian counterpart Prabowo Subianto, following a meeting between the two leaders.

Touching on bilateral relations, Erdogan noted that both nations "agreed to initiate new projects regarding our cooperation in various fields ranging from defense and construction to healthcare, energy, and the food industry."

He added that discussions also covered strategies to elevate bilateral trade towards their mutual goal of 10 billion US dollars "in a balanced fashion, founded on mutual benefit," stating that several agreements have been signed concerning culture, disaster and emergency management, and communication, as reported by Xinhua.

"We will continue our collaboration with Indonesia on all international platforms," Erdogan affirmed.

In addition to their bilateral meeting, Subianto also spoke before the Turkish parliament earlier that day, as per a release from Indonesia's Cabinet Secretariat.

During his address, Subianto elaborated on the "long-standing history of solidarity" between Turkey and Indonesia, expressing Indonesia's readiness to partner with Turkey in defending the Palestinian people against Israeli attacks and addressing human rights violations in Gaza, the press release indicated.

According to a report by Turkey's state-run Anadolu Agency, Prabowo is set to attend the upcoming Antalya Diplomacy Forum scheduled from Friday to Sunday in the Turkish city of Antalya.
