In an official statement, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs highlighted, "The immediate focus of the appeal is to protect the lives of up to 87 million individuals in urgent need, requiring $23 billion in funding. This initiative reaffirms the UAE's steadfast commitment to bolster international efforts aimed at saving lives and responding to crises that affect the most vulnerable populations globally."
"This support emphasizes the essential role of the UAE in advancing multilateral humanitarian action and its close collaboration with UN agencies, including the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA). It ensures timely access to aid for those in greatest need, adhering to His Highness’s directives for a swift and effective response," the statement continued.
Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, UAE's Minister of State for International Cooperation, reiterated the nation’s commitment to global humanitarian endeavors, working alongside UN partners to guarantee access to aid for the most affected.
