Key Takeaways
Abu Dhabi, March 8 (NationPress) Authorities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have issued a stern warning regarding the unauthorized filming of incident sites, restricted areas, or the interiors of airports. This advisory was communicated by the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi on Sunday.
To protect oneself and avoid legal repercussions, the Embassy strongly urged all Indian citizens to comply with these regulations.
"Upon hearing a warning alert, please move to a safe location and remain there until the alert for your area has been lifted. Do not attempt to go outside to capture photographs or record videos," the advisory stated.
Indian nationals were also advised to refrain from sharing or posting images of incident sites, particularly those showcasing damage from projectiles or shrapnel, on digital or social media platforms.
"In case you notice shrapnel falling or discover any suspicious objects nearby, report it to the appropriate authorities immediately. This will ensure the situation is managed safely and promptly. Please stay clear of the area and do not approach or touch any items," the Embassy emphasized.
"Photography and video recording inside the airport during arrival or departure is strictly prohibited. Given the current regional circumstances, the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi urges all Indian nationals residing in or visiting the UAE to closely follow local laws and safety guidelines issued by UAE authorities," it further stated.
On another note, the UAE Ministry of Defence announced that its air defense systems were actively responding to missile and drone threats originating from Iran.
In a statement on the social media platform X, the ministry clarified that the sounds heard in various areas were a result of air defense systems intercepting missiles and drones.
Authorities have appealed to the public to remain in safe locations and stay informed through official channels as the situation evolves.
