Cairo, Jan 25 (NationPress) The Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio engaged in significant discussions concerning the circumstances in Gaza, Syria, Lebanon, Sudan, Libya, and the Horn of Africa.
In a phone conversation on Friday, they also tackled issues related to Red Sea security, freedom of navigation, and the implications of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) on Egypt's water security, as noted by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry.
The conversation underscored the necessity for strengthened collaboration between the two nations to ease tensions and foster peace and stability in the region, according to reports from the Xinhua news agency.
Abdelatty highlighted the urgency of ongoing coordination among Egypt, Qatar, and the US to guarantee the complete execution of the recent ceasefire agreement in Gaza.
