Kyiv, March 12 (NationPress) The US has reinstated its military assistance to Ukraine, according to a report by the Interfax-Ukraine news agency on Wednesday.

The report cited Pavlo Palisa, the Deputy Head of the Ukrainian President's office and a participant in negotiations with the United States that took place in Saudi Arabia's coastal city of Jeddah. Palisa emphasized that the agreements made during these discussions "are starting to be put into action."

Additionally, the local media outlet Ukrainska Pravda has reported that the United States has also resumed sharing intelligence with Ukraine, as stated by US Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard.

On Tuesday, delegations from the US and Ukraine gathered in Saudi Arabia for talks. Following their meeting, they released a joint statement confirming that the US would once again provide security aid to Ukraine and restore intelligence cooperation.

The US had previously halted military assistance to Ukraine earlier this month, following an unusual confrontation between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in late February.

The critical discussions that took place on Tuesday, between high-ranking officials from both nations, concluded with Kyiv agreeing to a US-suggested 30-day ceasefire plan, while Washington agreed to resume military support and intelligence sharing with Ukraine, as reported by Xinhua news agency.

Initially expected to be brief, the meeting lasted for approximately eight hours before both sides issued a joint statement that they aim to "quickly finalize a comprehensive agreement to enhance Ukraine's critical mineral resources."

Despite low expectations for significant results from the meeting, the concluding joint statement illustrated a notable diplomatic turnaround from both parties just under two weeks following an unusual dispute between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House.
