This visit is part of CM Stalin’s outreach initiatives at the district level, where he interacts with the public and party officials.
The objective of these visits is to collect grassroots feedback and shape the DMK’s approach for the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
CM Stalin initiated this outreach with a two-day trip to Coimbatore on November 5 and 6.
The DMK aims to secure a victory in 200 out of 234 Assembly constituencies in the upcoming elections. Stalin has directed party members to engage actively with the public to emphasize the welfare initiatives undertaken by the DMK.
To realize this ambitious goal, the DMK has appointed full-time workers across all 234 Assembly constituencies in Tamil Nadu. Half of these workers were selected based on their performance in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, where the DMK-led INDIA bloc achieved a historic win, capturing all 39 seats in Tamil Nadu and the sole seat in Puducherry.
A core group of DMK leaders, including Youth Wing leader and Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, state ministers Thangam Thenarasu and E.V. Velu, and party organizing secretary R.S. Bharathi, has been assigned to oversee the election strategy.
Udhayanidhi Stalin is in charge of daily operations to ensure the party achieves its goal of 200 Assembly seats in 2026. The DMK currently holds 133 seats and is diligently working towards this ambitious target.
