Chennai, July 6 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M.K. Stalin, is preparing to inaugurate the inaugural camp of the ‘Ungaludan Stalin’ (Stalin with You) initiative on July 15 at Chidambaram Municipality in Cuddalore district.
This ambitious public outreach program seeks to directly tackle citizens’ complaints and provide essential government services right at their doorsteps through a series of specialized camps throughout the state.
An official announcement states that the government aims to set up a total of 10,000 special camps from July 15 until November 2025, encompassing both rural and urban areas across all districts. Out of these, 6,232 camps will be established in rural settings and 3,768 in urban locales, with each camp customized to cater to the unique needs of its community.
At urban camps, 43 different services from 13 departments will be accessible, while the rural camps will provide 46 services from 15 departments. Moreover, medical services will be available at every camp to ensure the health and safety of attendees.
To maximize public engagement and awareness, nearly one lakh trained volunteers will commence door-to-door outreach starting July 7. These volunteers will educate households about the timing and location of the nearest camp and supply detailed information regarding the services available, eligibility requirements, and necessary documentation. They will also hand out informational booklets and application forms to aid residents in preparing for the camps.
A standout feature of this initiative is the incorporation of the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thogai scheme. Eligible women who have been excluded from this financial support program will have the chance to submit their applications directly at the camps.
Importantly, new applications for this scheme will only be accepted through these camps. The government has pledged that all applications received will be processed and resolved within 45 days.
Officials indicated that the ‘Ungaludan Stalin’ initiative aims to enhance governance accessibility and transparency, effectively closing the gap between the government and the populace by bringing services directly to their doorsteps.
This campaign emphasizes the government’s dedication to inclusive development and the efficient delivery of welfare schemes at the grassroots level.
