Bhopal, June 12 (NationPress) With worries escalating over the increasing COVID-19 cases in Madhya Pradesh, a 52-year-old woman lost her life to the virus while receiving treatment at a private facility in Indore.
The woman, hailing from Ratlam, situated approximately 150 km away from Indore, was admitted to the Manorma Raje T B (MRTB) hospital on June 8 with symptoms of respiratory distress.
A COVID test was promptly conducted, and two days later, on Wednesday, results confirmed she was COVID-positive.
She was then moved to the isolation ward.
Tragically, she passed away on June 11, as reported by a senior doctor from MRTB hospital on Thursday.
The hospital administration verified that the patient had multiple underlying health conditions, such as tuberculosis and hypertension, which exacerbated her health issues.
This incident marks the third COVID-related death in Madhya Pradesh over the past fortnight, and notably, all three victims were women.
