Jaipur, Dec 12 (NationPress) Rajasthan's Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma announced that the state government has successfully achieved 70% of the commitments made to the public within just two years, representing a noteworthy milestone in governance, development, and public trust. He further stated that 73% of the budgetary promises for this two-year timeframe have either been fulfilled or are in progress.
During a press conference held at the Bhagat Singh Mehta Auditorium in OTS, Sharma highlighted that Rajasthan has positioned itself as one of the top-performing states in India, attaining first place in 11 national schemes, second in five, and third in nine. These achievements reflect the government's dedication, diligent work, and the support of the public. The Chief Minister mentioned that significant initiatives like the ERCP were hindered by the previous administration.
Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, work orders worth Rs 26,000 crore have been allocated for the Ram Jal Setu Link Project, which aims to deliver Yamuna water to Churu, Jhunjhunu, and Sikar. Within two years, Rs 10,482 crore has been utilized under the Jal Jeevan Mission to provide tap water to 13.59 lakh rural households.
More than 14,000 groundwater-harvesting structures have been established as part of the Karmabhoomi to Matribhoomi Abhiyan, and 364,968 water-conservation projects have been finalized under the Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari initiative.
Additional funding includes Rs 647 crore allocated for the reconstruction of the Ferozepur feeder and Rs 3,400 crore for the renovation of the IGNP canal and construction of concrete drains.
Rajasthan's power generation capacity has escalated from 6,363 MW to 30,525 MW over the past two years. Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) have been executed with central enterprises for 42,438 MW of power projects, attracting total investments of Rs 1,93,000 crore, including a joint venture with an investment of Rs 1,20,000 crore. The state government has developed 39,891 km of roads at a cost of Rs 27,238 crore.
The Chief Minister also indicated that rural connectivity has been enhanced with 8,557 km of missing-link roads and 3,139 km of upgraded roads under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) are currently in progress for nine greenfield expressways stretching a total of 2,750 km.
Approval has been granted for 78 Atal Pragati Paths in larger villages and 249 paths in smaller villages, amounting to a total expenditure of Rs 812 crore. Beneficiaries of the PM-Ujjwala Yojana and BPL families now receive gas cylinders at a cost of Rs 450.
Over 15 crore meals have been served through the Annapurna Rasoi Yojana. Social pensions have risen to Rs 1,250 per month, with more than 10 lakh new approvals granted. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), 713,000 homes have been sanctioned, alongside over 2 lakh leases awarded to nomadic, semi-nomadic, and freed families.
The Swamitva Yojana has successfully completed drone surveys in more than 8,000 villages, issuing 13.7 lakh ownership cards.
The PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi has been increased to Rs 9,000, combining contributions from both the central and state governments, benefiting over 7.6 lakh farmers with a total of Rs 10,432 crore credited directly. In addition, bonuses amounting to Rs 471 crore have been disbursed to 2.66 lakh wheat farmers. In two years, interest-free crop loans totaling Rs 44,000 crore and subsidies of Rs 822 crore for 52,000 solar pumps under the PM-KUSUM Yojana have been offered. Farmers have also received relief in their electricity bills.
