New Delhi, Feb 2 (NationPress) Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Priyanka Kakkar expressed strong confidence in her party's impending victory in the upcoming Assembly elections in the national capital, asserting that voters will save Rs 35,000 every month by selecting her party.

In a conversation with IANS, she criticized the opposition parties (BJP and Congress) for engaging in negative politics, stating that each morning, they resort to abuse against AAP Convenor Arvind Kejriwal. However, she believes the people of Delhi remain unconvinced by their tactics and will support AAP once again.

Discussing election preparations, Kakkar noted: “AAP is the first to announce candidates for all 70 seats, alongside our chief ministerial face, the achievements of our party, and upcoming initiatives, whereas other parties lack a clear agenda and chief ministerial candidate.”

Emphasizing the initiatives of the AAP government, Kakkar remarked: “We have presented a Budget that offers free electricity, education, bus services, and healthcare to the people of Delhi.”

She highlighted that the residents of Delhi have consistently chosen AAP in the last two Assembly elections due to its provision of free bus services, support for women, and enhanced educational and health facilities.

Kakkar also mentioned that if elected, AAP plans to implement free bus services for students and a 50% discount in metro fares.

In related news, Kejriwal has reached out to the Delhi Chief Election Officer (CEO) regarding reported attacks on his party workers in the New Delhi Assembly constituency.

This week, AAP faced a significant setback as eight of its legislators resigned and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), claiming that AAP has strayed from its founding principle of “honest politics.”

Delhi is currently experiencing a triangular battle among AAP, BJP, and Congress, with high-energy campaigning from all three parties aimed at attracting voters.

The elections for the 70-member Delhi Assembly are set for February 5, with vote counting scheduled for February 8.
