New Delhi, Feb 27 (NationPress) As the Delhi Assembly engages in discussions regarding the recently released Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report, which scrutinizes the now-defunct liquor policy of the former AAP government, BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh has vehemently condemned the mismanagement and corruption linked to this policy.

Chugh pledged that the BJP-led administration in Delhi would bring this matter to the forefront, with steadfast resolve, aiming to ensure that those who have exploited the nation and jeopardized the welfare of the underprivileged face serious repercussions.

In a conversation with IANS, Chugh highlighted the significance of addressing issues such as the embezzlement of public funds within a thriving democracy.

He stated, “The dialogue surrounding the CAG report in the Delhi Assembly is vital for the future of our democracy. The nation needs to grasp the magnitude of the Kejriwal government’s mismanagement, which has resulted in scams, misappropriation of funds, and the wastage of taxpayer resources. Rather than adhering to its commitments, the AAP government has transformed Delhi into a ‘Madhushala’ under the pretense of opening schools. The disparity between their promises and actions is growing, and the public must witness the reality.”

Chugh further criticized the AAP, asserting that its leadership has been employing diversionary strategies to shift focus away from the liquor policy controversy.

He noted that AAP figures like Atishi have been making statements designed to distract from the pressing issues at hand.

“The BJP leader also targeted Punjab Education Minister, Harjot Singh Bains, regarding a contentious new policy in the state.

Bains had declared that Punjabi would be a mandatory subject for Class 10 students in Punjab. Chugh condemned this initiative, accusing specific political leaders of leveraging it to incite division instead of promoting unity.

He remarked that while the National Education Policy permits students to learn in their native language, some leaders are taking advantage of regional language matters for political benefits.

“These ministers are inciting unnecessary animosity by fostering divisiveness. They have contributed little to enhancing education in Punjab, and their actions are undermining the historical efforts made for the improvement of Punjabi and Punjabis,” Chugh noted.

Chugh also commended the success of the Maha Kumbh and underscored how the religious festival united millions, transcending caste and religious barriers.

“In the past 45 days, the nation has once again reaffirmed its commitment to the idea of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.’ Over 66 crore individuals have participated in this event, demonstrating the power of social and cultural unity in India. This time, the Kumbh represented a symbol of resistance against those attempting to create division within our society,” Chugh stated.

Chugh also praised PM Modi for his leadership, asserting that under his direction, the country has not only been discussing harmony but has also been putting it into practice. According to Chugh, the Maha Kumbh was a testament to the positive transformation that can occur when individuals rise above their differences and collaborate for a shared purpose.
