Is Abusing a Mother an Insult to the Nation? Jeevika Didis in Bhagalpur Criticize Opposition

Bhagalpur, Sep 2 (NationPress) Thousands of women assembled in Bhagalpur, Bihar, on Tuesday for the launch of the Bihar Rajya Jeevika Nidhi Saakh Sahkari Sangh Limited, a groundbreaking initiative designed to empower women through financial independence.

The event was a source of joy, amplified by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to bolster women’s empowerment in partnership with the Bihar government. However, emotions ran high when the Prime Minister disclosed that his late mother had faced derogatory remarks from members of Opposition parties on a political platform in Bihar.

In response, the women expressed their outrage and condemned the Opposition party members for breaching the boundaries of political respect. They asserted that attacking the Prime Minister’s mother was not merely a personal affront but a direct insult to every mother and, by extension, the honor of the nation.

One of the Jeevika Didis in Bhagalpur remarked to IANS, “I truly appreciated PM Modi’s words today. The Jeevika Nidhi will aid us in achieving self-reliance. It’s unacceptable to insult the Prime Minister and his mother. When the Opposition uses foul language against him, they are effectively disrespecting all mothers.”

Another attendee echoed her sentiments.

“It is inappropriate to utter such harsh words about PM Modi. A mother’s respect should transcend political disputes,” she stated.

A third participant from the Jeevika group added, “It is disheartening that the Opposition party members are speaking ill of the Prime Minister and his mother. Such behavior should never be part of politics.”

Another Jeevika Didi expressed, “I feel wounded that abusive language was directed at PM Modi ji. I stand in solidarity with him on this issue. Every mother should be honored, irrespective of the circumstances.”

Earlier, Prime Minister Modi officially inaugurated the Bihar Rajya Jeevika Nidhi Saakh Sahkari Sangh Limited via video conferencing. He described the initiative as a transformative measure that will empower women throughout Bihar to gain greater financial independence and entrepreneurial skills.

“On this auspicious Tuesday, we are unveiling a highly beneficial initiative. Mothers and sisters in Bihar are being granted a new facility via the Jeevika Nidhi Saakh Sahkari Sangh. This will enable women in rural areas to access financial assistance more readily and expand their businesses,” PM Modi stated.

He underlined that the entire Jeevika Nidhi system would operate digitally, eliminating the necessity for in-person visits.

“Everything can now be accomplished via a mobile phone. This represents a significant advancement in facilitating women's access to finance,” the Prime Minister remarked. He congratulated the women of Bihar and praised Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the state government for their support in executing the initiative.

During his address, the Prime Minister also reflected on his personal journey and the sacrifices made by his late mother.

“For nearly 55 years, I have devoted every moment of my life to serving society and the nation. My mother played a pivotal role in this journey. To serve Maa Bharati, she freed me from all familial responsibilities, granting me her blessings to commit myself entirely to the country,” PM Modi shared.

With palpable emotion, the Prime Minister expressed his sorrow over the insults aimed at his late mother.

“It is profoundly painful that the very mother who blessed me for national service, who is no longer with us, was insulted from the stage of the Opposition alliance here in Bihar. This is disheartening, hurtful, and unfathomable. It is not just an insult to my mother but to every mother, sister, and daughter in this nation,” he added.
