Jaipur, May 5 (NationPress) The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) is set to present Jaikrishn Patel, the Bagidora MLA from the Bharat Adivasi Party (BAP), in court today concerning a significant bribery case. The ACB aims to request his remand as part of its investigation into an alleged Rs 20 lakh bribe and associated issues.
Patel was apprehended on Sunday at his official residence in Jyotinagar, Jaipur. Following his arrest, the ACB interrogated his gunman, driver, cook, and social media staff, all of whom were brought to the ACB office for questioning.
Sources indicate that these individuals were unaware of the person who fled with the cash.
The ACB alleges that the bribe money was supposedly received at the MLA's official flat on Sunday afternoon. Prior to the officials' arrival, someone affiliated with Patel reportedly absconded with the Rs 20 lakh.

Patel is accused of soliciting Rs 10 crore to retract assembly questions pertaining to the mining sector, with the final agreement reportedly concluded at Rs 2.5 crore.

Ramnivas Meena, the father of complainant Ravindra Meena, stated that Patel had approached them two months ago regarding two soapstone mining leases in Gudhachandji Balghat. Patel allegedly cautioned them that Congress MLA Ghanshyam Mahar and others were attempting to annul the leases and offered to have the relevant assembly questions withdrawn in exchange for funds.
However, Ghanshyam Mahar has refuted any involvement, accusing the Meena family of politicizing the issue for personal reasons. He noted that he had previously defeated Ramnivas Meena in an election.
