Ahmedabad, Nov 27 (NationPress) Adani Defence Systems & Technologies Ltd (ADSTL), in partnership with Prime Aero Services LLP, has successfully concluded agreements to secure a majority ownership in Flight Simulation Technique Centre Pvt Ltd (FSTC), recognized as India’s largest independent flight training and simulation provider, for a total enterprise valuation of Rs 820 crore, as stated in a company announcement made on Thursday.

FSTC manages 11 advanced full-flight simulators and 17 training aircraft, providing extensive pilot training services—from commercial pilot certifications to type ratings, recurrent training, and specialized skill courses.

The organization is accredited by the DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) and EASA (European Union Aviation Safety Agency), operating cutting-edge simulation facilities in Gurugram and Hyderabad, with considerable potential for future expansion. Additionally, it features one of India’s largest flying schools located at Bhiwani and Narnaul in Haryana.

The pilot training ecosystem for India’s defence sector is rapidly evolving into a significant opportunity, reflecting trends seen in civil aviation where simulator-based training reduces expenses while enhancing safety and efficiency. FSTC has articulated ambitious growth strategies to expand in both the defence and civil aviation sectors.

“This acquisition represents a pivotal advancement in our strategy to establish a fully integrated aviation services platform. With FSTC joining Air Works and Indamer Technics, we are poised to cater to clients across civil MRO, general aviation MRO [Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul], defence MRO, and comprehensive flight training,” stated Ashish Rajvanshi, CEO of Adani Defence & Aerospace.

“As Indian airlines are projected to welcome over 1,500 aircraft, the demand for certified pilots will surge dramatically. Concurrently, the government’s emphasis on advanced training and mission simulation for the armed forces is creating new prospects in defence simulation. In alignment with our commitment to fostering a secure nation, we aspire to support the upcoming generation of Indian defence pilots,” he added.

ADSTL operates as a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises Limited (AEL). Horizon Aero Solutions Limited (HASL)—a collaborative venture between ADSTL and Prime Aero Services LLP—is a step-down subsidiary of AEL.
