Mumbai, July 31 (NationPress) Adani Electricity, the premier electricity distribution firm in Mumbai, announced on Thursday the launch of a monsoon safety awareness initiative targeting schools and slum areas.

This initiative was conducted in collaboration with schools under the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the city's civic authority.

According to the company, the safety awareness campaign was implemented throughout its power distribution zones to educate the public about electricity safety during the monsoon.

In preparation for the rainy season, the company proactively bolstered its disaster management strategies in June to protect its 3.15 million customers from possible service interruptions.

Additionally, the company activated its Central Disaster Control Centre (CDCC), which is essential for coordinating response efforts and operates continuously to ensure prompt action and effective communication during the monsoon.

“Seven Quick Response Teams (QRTs) have been strategically placed across the distribution network. These teams are armed with comprehensive response, recovery, and restoration plans designed to meet the challenges of the monsoon,” stated the company.
