In a message shared on the X social media platform, Adani expressed the company's dedication to investing further and strengthening its ties with Israel.

“I am honoured to meet with Israeli Ambassador H.E. @ReuvenAzar and Mrs. Rachel Azar, along with their team. We had fruitful discussions on how we can contribute to India-Israel collaboration, especially concerning the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) and defense partnerships,” the Adani Group Chairman stated.

“Through Haifa Port and Adani Israel Ltd, the Adani Group is steadfast in its commitment to further invest and enhance our long-standing partnership with Israel,” he added.

In 2023, the Adani Group made a significant investment by acquiring the strategic Israeli port of Haifa for $1.2 billion. The Port of Haifa ranks as the second largest port in Israel for shipping containers and is the largest for tourist cruise ships.

The India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) is a vital initiative aiming to bolster India's maritime security and facilitate quicker goods movement between Europe and Asia.

Launched during India’s G20 presidency, the IMEC seeks to connect India, Europe, and the Middle East through partnerships with the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Israel, and the European Union.

Improving logistics costs, establishing faster connectivity, and ensuring secure goods movement hinge on enhanced cooperation in this sector.

Adani Ports stands as India’s largest port developer and operator, managing seven strategically located ports on the west coast and eight on the east coast, accounting for 27 percent of the nation’s overall port volumes.

The company is also in the process of developing a transshipment port in Colombo and Container Terminal 2 at Dar Es Salaam Port in Tanzania.
