In a special interview with IANS prior to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Israel, Revach remarked, "Prime Minister Netanyahu emphasized that a key goal of this visit is to strengthen defense cooperation, and we are committed to advancing this collaboration with India, certainly."
Revach elaborated, "We already enjoy a unique and robust defense relationship, driven by the mutual challenges faced by both nations. During Prime Minister Modi's visit, we aim to broaden this agreement to cover specific areas such as local manufacturing, defense collaboration, and the sharing of technology regarding the Iron Dome and other Israeli defense systems with our Indian partners."
He also mentioned Israel's desire to establish a new alliance with India, alongside nations involved in the Abraham Accords, several African countries, and Middle Eastern nations, including Cyprus and Greece, to counter the radical axis.
“It is crucial for Prime Minister Modi to visit Israel this week to support this initiative,” he added.
The Consul General emphasized the significance of the upcoming summit, stating, "When the two leaders convene to advance this agenda and specifically discuss resolutions to strengthen bilateral ties across numerous sectors, it will undoubtedly resonate through the private sector and encourage cooperation among companies."
In related news, Israel's Ambassador to India, Reuven Azar, expressed excitement about welcoming Prime Minister Modi, asserting that both nations are poised for decisive progress during his visit.
