Jaipur, March 10 (NationPress) In a significant operation on Monday, a food safety team confiscated a substantial amount of adulterated gram flour from a factory located in Jaipur’s Riico Industrial Area, Bassi. The operation was led by Additional Commissioner Pankaj Ojha, who oversaw the raid on the Healthy Foods Factory at Plot No. G-1, 68-A.
The gram flour was found to be adulterated by mixing gram dal with rice khinki and millet, marketed under the brand name Chhoti Lal Lakda Motiya Gram Flour. This compromised flour was being distributed throughout Rajasthan, particularly targeting the supply during the upcoming festive season.
A total of 538 sacks (exceeding 16,000 kg) of the adulterated gram flour were seized at the site. Samples have been dispatched for laboratory analysis, with further actions pending the results of these tests. The operation was executed by Food Safety Officers.
Previously, last month, a team of Food Safety Officers from the Chief Medical and Health Officer of Jaipur conducted inspections at Lucky Hotels in Devaliya and Mokhampura (Ajmer Road).
Officials reported numerous violations, including the operation of the business without a food license, which resulted in its immediate closure until a valid license is secured.
Under the direction of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and with the guidance of Medical and Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khinvsar, the Shuddha Aahar Milawat Par Vaar Abhiyan persists in its vigorous campaign against food adulteration across Rajasthan.
This ongoing initiative reinforces the government’s commitment to providing safe and unadulterated food for the public, officials stated.
