Ahmedabad, December 1 (NationPress) — In celebration of Gita Jayanti, the District Education Offices of Ahmedabad Rural and City, partnering with the Gujarat State Sanskrit Board, will host a district-level 'Gita Mahotsav' on Monday.

The main event is scheduled to take place at Swaminarayan International School in Ranip, featuring 'Gita pujan', a group recitation of selected chapters from the Bhagavad Gita, along with an exhibition focused on Sanskrit language and Indian culture.

Additionally, three review centers throughout Ahmedabad will facilitate Gita recitation sessions and Shat Subhashita chanting, ensuring greater involvement from students and educators.

About 200 participants are anticipated to join the festivities, with certificates provided to all contributors.

Prior to the event, the office of the District Education Officer conducted a review meeting to oversee arrangements and guarantee the seamless execution of this cultural and spiritual program.

In Gujarat, the Gita Mahotsav has been a long-standing cultural and spiritual initiative harmonizing education, tradition, and community engagement.

Various schools, colleges, Sanskrit boards, and local governments across the state celebrate this occasion with mass Gita recitations, cultural programs, exhibitions on Sanskrit heritage, and public gatherings that emphasize the timeless teachings of the Bhagavad Gita.
