The suspects, identified as Ramilaben Parmar (28) from Vadaj and Sarla Ganava (34) from NirmalnagarDahod district, allegedly targeted riders on busy BRTS and AMTS buses.
Authorities revealed that the women utilized young children to blend in and masqueraded as daily wage laborers while executing the thefts.
The victim, Saryuben, a resident of the USA, was in Gujarat with her family attending a religious ceremony at the Dada Bhagwan Trimandir in Adalaj.
She was in possession of ancestral gold intended for redesigning for her son and daughter-in-law when it was pilfered during a bus ride.
A formal complaint was filed at the Satellite Police Station under the appropriate provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
