New Delhi, July 20 (NationPress) The Civil Aviation Minister, Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu, emphasized on Sunday that the government will withhold comments regarding the ongoing investigation into the Air India Boeing crash until the final report is released. He criticized the Western media for their biased portrayal of this tragic event.
The minister called on Western media outlets to refrain from speculation regarding the cause of the Air India crash and commended the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) for effectively analyzing the black box data within India.
“The AAIB has reached out to all, especially Western media organizations, which may have a vested interest in the narratives they are promoting,” the minister noted.
“I have trust in the AAIB. They have accomplished an impressive task in decoding the black box and retrieving data in India,” he stated.
“This represents a significant achievement for us, as in past cases where the black box was damaged, the data was typically sent overseas for extraction. However, this is the first instance where the AAIB has successfully decoded all information. The preliminary report has also been completed,” Naidu highlighted.

In the meantime, Jennifer Homendy, Chairperson of the United States National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), also remarked that recent media narratives concerning the crash of an Air India Boeing Dreamliner, which resulted in over 260 fatalities, were both hasty and speculative.
A report from the Wall Street Journal, followed by another from Reuters, appeared to be prejudiced against the pilots, attempting to assign blame to them for the crash despite the absence of any such conclusion in the ongoing investigation.
