New Delhi, April 13 (NationPress) President Droupadi Murmu will spearhead a nationwide tribute to Babasaheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on the occasion of his 135th birth anniversary at Prerna Sthal located in the Parliament House lawns on Monday, according to an official announcement.

The tribute event to celebrate the architect of the Indian Constitution will be organized by the Dr. Ambedkar Foundation (DAF), under the auspices of the Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.

The Ministry's statement indicated that the festivities will commence with a floral tribute ceremony dedicated to Babasaheb Ambedkar, attended by distinguished dignitaries such as the President, Vice President, Prime Minister, Lok Sabha Speaker, various Ministers, Parliamentarians, as well as guests including scholars, students, and members of the public. The event will remain open to the public until Noon.

To facilitate public attendance, the DAF has arranged special bus services for individuals wishing to visit the Dr. Ambedkar National Memorial (DANM) to pay their respects to the leader. The memorial, known as Mahaparinirvan Bhoomi, is situated at 26, Alipur Road, New Delhi.

The Dr. Ambedkar Foundation was established to promote the ideologies and teachings of Babasaheb. In 1991, a committee was formed to commemorate the centenary of Dr. Ambedkar, which was chaired by the then Prime Minister.
