Bhubaneswar, March 6 (NationPress) Union Home Minister Amit Shah declared on Friday that the security forces will entirely dismantle the aspirations for a Red Corridor stretching from Tirupati to Pashupatinath temple, with a vision to render India free from Naxalism by March 31. He commended the contributions of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) in the fight against Maoism.

Speaking at the CISF’s 57th Raising Day event in Cuttack, Odisha, HM Shah stated, “The Modi government has committed to liberating India from Naxalism by March 31, 2026. The CISF has been pivotal in facilitating this mission. Their roles have been crucial in states like Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Telangana during anti-Naxal operations.”

He emphasized that the Naxalites dreaming of establishing a Red Corridor from Tirupati to Pashupatinath Temple will be thoroughly overcome as security forces gain full mastery over regions influenced by Maoists. "The Naxalites' ambitions for a Red Corridor from Tirupati to Pashupati will be entirely crushed by our security forces by March 31, 2026," he asserted.

“This initiative has involved numerous challenging missions and placed significant responsibilities on our security forces. Yet, they have approached each task with unwavering courage and a smile, tirelessly working toward the eradication of Naxalism. Today, we are poised to liberate our nation from this menace,” the Home Minister remarked.

He further acknowledged the CISF's vital role in safeguarding industrial infrastructures nationwide, asserting that India's vision for industrial advancement cannot be achieved without a robust security framework, which the CISF provides.

HM Shah noted that the CISF has showcased a powerful commitment to confront every challenge by blending valor, sacrifice, and dedication with India's rich historical traditions, all while utilizing modern weaponry.

The Home Minister mentioned PM Modi's two significant resolutions for the nation: to transform India into a developed nation by 2047 and to rank among the top globally in all sectors, aiming for the status of the world's third-largest economy by 2027.

He highlighted that the CISF serves as a catalyst in achieving these ambitious objectives, reaffirming that the CISF has consistently acted as the nation’s protective shield. He also revealed that the Ministry of Home Affairs has recently decided to assign the security of all ports to the CISF.

Union Home Minister highlighted that the sacrifices made by CISF personnel have significantly contributed to bolstering the country’s economy. Presently, the CISF is responsible for securing 70 airports across India and 361 critical institutions, with plans to extend security services to private industrial groups in a hybrid model in the future.

Additionally, he mentioned that the CISF has been designated as the nodal agency for drone security, with plans from the Ministry of Home Affairs to establish a dedicated vertical for this purpose.

HM Shah emphasized that in its 56 years of service, the CISF has proven its effectiveness, earning 13,693 medals for gallantry and distinguished service.

He also laid the groundwork for three residential complexes for the CISF in Kamrup, Nashik, and Sehore, which will be developed at a cost of Rs 890 crore, while inaugurating two residential complexes located in Rajarhat and Delhi.
