Lucknow, June 15 (NationPress) Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated on Sunday that through the anti-terror Operation Sindoor, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has conveyed a powerful message globally that the bloodshed of Indians will lead to consequences.
While presenting appointment letters to 60,244 Uttar Pradesh Police constables, including 12,048 women, HM Shah remarked, “I commend our armed forces for their precise operations that have dismantled terror centers.”
He further contrasted PM Modi’s robust response to terrorism with the era of Congress, which faced multiple attacks without taking adequate action.
Celebrating the current phase of ‘Sashakt Bharat’, HM Shah emphasized the advancements made by the nation in areas like poverty alleviation, space technology, education, aviation, youth opportunities, digital skill development, and urban mobility through Metro projects.
According to HM Shah, under PM Modi’s leadership, the country's internal security has significantly improved. “Previously, 11 districts were impacted by Maoism; now, it exists in just three,” he mentioned.
“I assure you, Maoism will be eradicated from India by March 21, 2026,” he stated.
Highlighting the economy’s progression under PM Modi, HM Shah noted, “By 2027, India will emerge as the third-largest economy. Upon PM Modi’s arrival, our economy was ranked 11th.”
HM Shah also recognized PM Modi’s vision for fair social upliftment, stating that in the past 11 years, 25 crore individuals have risen from poverty, millions have received cooking gas cylinders, free rations, free medical treatment up to ₹5 lakh, and farmers now receive ₹6,000 annually.
Targeting the former Samajwadi Party-led administration in the state, the Home Minister asserted that before 2017, law and order in UP was steadily declining. However, under the BJP government led by Yogi Adityanath, the state police has returned to a path of reform and recovery.
Today, under CM Adityanath, criminals no longer dictate terms, and there is no VIP treatment for lawbreakers, he pointed out, referencing the alleged chaos under the past Samajwadi Party government.
Referring to the obstacles posed by the SP government regarding police reforms, he stated, “During the first three years of PM Modi’s administration, there were no improvements for the state police.”
HM Shah also criticized the SP government for corruption in recruitment, asserting that the current hiring of 60,244 constables in UP Police has been conducted without any ‘Kharchi-Parchi’ and solely based on merit.
“In the past, recruitments were conducted on a caste basis, but that is no longer the case. The current hiring process is transparent,” he expressed, showing satisfaction over the appointment of 12,048 women as constables.
