Mehsana (Gujarat), Jan 15 (NationPress) The Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to inaugurate a fully renovated school in Vadnagar, Mehsana district, on January 16. This is the same institution where Prime Minister Narendra Modi received his education. The institution has been entirely refurbished and will be inaugurated on Thursday as the "Prerna School", envisioned as a place to inspire future generations.
In anticipation of Amit Shah's arrival, the city is undergoing extensive preparations. Various decorations are being set up for the occasion, and comprehensive security measures have been implemented. During his visit to Vadnagar, the Union Home Minister is scheduled to address a public gathering at the school at 2 p.m.
Subsequently, Amit Shah will also unveil a sports complex constructed at a cost of Rs 33.50 crore. The complex has been established by the Sports Authority of Gujarat.
This sports facility will host state-level competitions in various sports, including badminton, kabaddi, kho-kho, table tennis, and football. It will also offer coaching services for athletes. The complex spans an area of 34,235 square feet and includes both indoor and outdoor facilities.
Moreover, a sports hostel has been constructed, accommodating 100 boys and 100 girls.
The hostel is equipped with specialized rooms, a visitor area, living quarters for the rector, a recreation room, pantry, storage spaces, washrooms, changing areas, solar systems, RO systems, CCTV, and top-notch kitchen appliances.
It is noteworthy that the Central government has initiated the "Prerna" program in Prime Minister Narendra Modi's native village, Vadnagar, which has facilitated the school's renovation.
The Archaeological Survey of India is also working to transform the school into a modern educational institution for the future.
