Mehsana (Gujarat), Jan 15 (NationPress) Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to inaugurate a fully revamped educational institution in Vadnagar, Mehsana district, on January 16. This is the very school where Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended his studies. The establishment has been meticulously renovated and will be unveiled on Thursday as the Prerna School, a center designed to motivate individuals.
During his visit to Vadnagar, the Union Home Minister is scheduled to speak at a public assembly at the school at 2 p.m. Both educators and learners have expressed their excitement over the remarkable transformation of PM Modi’s Prerna School.
Apurva Devanath, a student from Tripura, shared with IANS: "I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. What brings me the most joy is that my confidence has significantly increased since being here. I previously felt intimidated speaking in front of others, but now I can articulate myself much more effectively."
She added: "Visiting PM Modi’s school fills me with happiness. I have interacted with students from other states and gained valuable insights from them. Additionally, I have learned about 3D printing and poster creation."
Archana Sharma Awasthi, Joint Secretary of the Education Department, stated: "This establishment was formerly known as Vadnagar School. PM Modi received his foundational education here. The Education Department has initiated the Prerna Programme, marking a significant advancement."
She further remarked: "We have rebranded it into the Prerna Programme, a truly distinctive initiative. This program merges India’s rich culture and heritage with modern technology. Students now learn in the same classrooms where Prime Minister Modi once studied and received his education."
"The program revolves around three crucial questions: Who am I? What is my heritage? And what can I do for my country? We ensure that children depart with these teachings, equipping them to contribute to the vision of a 'Viksit Bharat.' The nine leadership values influenced by PM Narendra Modi are ingrained in them. Various teaching methods such as site visits, storytelling, experiments, and more are employed. Values like Navachar-Jigyasa (Innovation-Curiosity), Swabhiman-Vinay (Pride-Humility), Shraddha-Vishwas (Faith-Trust), and Shaurya-Sahas (Courage-Valor) are highlighted," the educator explained.
