Amaravati, Oct 17 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, made a heartfelt request on Friday for every individual to engage with the State government’s 'P-4 Zero Poverty' initiative.

This appeal was shared on X in recognition of the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty.

He emphasized that while the government has introduced various welfare programs, the 'P-4 Zero Poverty' initiative aims to illuminate the lives of the impoverished.

“On this day dedicated to eradicating poverty, I urge everyone to renew our dedication to this mission. I invite each of you to join us as partners in the P-4 programme,” he stated.

Chandrababu Naidu asserts that eliminating poverty involves more than just financial assistance.

“It entails safeguarding their dignity, offering growth opportunities, and empowering them to advance alongside others. The primary objective of Swarna Andhra Vision 2047 is to eradicate poverty. The coalition government has been pursuing this objective from day one,” he explained.

He noted that within 16 months, the government has executed welfare and developmental initiatives exceeding Rs 1 lakh crore. “We provide 'NTR Bharosa Pensions' amounting to Rs 2,758 crore monthly in a manner unparalleled in the country. We have reestablished 207 'Anna Canteens' throughout the state, offering meals to the needy for just Rs 5. Through the 'Deepam 2.0' initiative, we are supplying three free cooking gas cylinders annually to underprivileged women,” the post states.

“To ensure children from low-income families have the opportunity to learn and thrive, we offer financial support of Rs 15,000 per year for each child enrolled in school under the 'Talli Ki Vandanam' scheme. The 'Stree Shakti' initiative grants free travel on RTC buses for all women. For farmers, under the 'Annadata Sukhibhava' scheme, we have disbursed the first instalment of Rs 7,000. The 'In the Service of Fishermen' scheme received Rs 246 crore, while the auto driver service program received Rs 435 crore,” he added.
