Any Indian with a valid US visa can now enter Argentina without needing a separate visa. This is excellent news and will foster increased people-to-people interactions.

IANS: What strategies are being implemented to enhance trade and strategic relations between India and Argentina?

Ambassador Caucino: We are delighted that Argentina and India are marking 75 years of friendship. With recent developments aimed at bolstering aviation connections and forming a strategic partnership, our bilateral trade has approached nearly $5 billion. India has emerged as Argentina's sixth-largest trading partner, and we are eager to expand this collaboration, particularly following Prime Minister Modi's visit to Argentina in July.

IANS: Has India, under PM Modi's guidance, positioned itself as a significant global player in addressing global issues?

Ambassador Caucino: Yes, indeed. With the world’s largest population and being one of the top five economies, India is increasingly asserting itself on the global stage. Under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, India has become a responsible voice internationally and continues to elevate its influence.

IANS: How do you view the Indian economy and its future prospects?

Ambassador Caucino: India’s economic progress has been impressive. It has already achieved the status of the fourth-largest economy and is poised to become the third largest within a few years. We are confident that India’s success narrative will persist. Despite the geographical distance, Argentina and India have complementary economies, and there is substantial potential to strengthen our economic ties.
