Imphal, July 2 (NationPress) The Indian Army honored 44 students from Manipur who successfully cleared the JEE and NEET examinations this year after receiving training at the Red Shield Centre for Excellence and Wellness, widely recognized as ‘Manipur Super-50’, officials reported on Wednesday.
Defence spokesperson Lt Col Amit Shukla mentioned that six out of these 44 students excelled in both the NEET and JEE exams. Among them, Philem Jenin Singh emerged as one of the top NEET scorers from Manipur with an impressive 97.06 percentile.
According to Lt Col Shukla, the Manipur Super-50 initiative, backed by the Indian Army in partnership with the National Integrity and Educational Development Organisation (NIEDO), aims to provide free, high-quality coaching, mentorship, and resources to deserving students from challenging backgrounds in the state. This dedicated effort has enabled numerous students to gain admission to prestigious medical and engineering colleges nationwide, transforming their dreams into achievable goals, he stated.
In the recent NEET-2025 examination, 37 students from the Super-50 successfully passed, marking a remarkable milestone for the program. Despite facing various obstacles, these students have shown incredible resilience, commitment, and concentration, the spokesperson added.
