A spokesperson from the Defence sector stated that this anti-drug initiative commenced on Friday based on specific intelligence inputs.
In response to the information, a mobile vehicle checkpoint was set up in the Bala Point area of Chandel district, which is adjacent to Myanmar.
During the operation, a white Gypsy vehicle and a motorcycle were noticed approaching the checkpoint.
However, both vehicles stopped roughly 60 to 70 meters away from the post. The individuals inside abandoned their vehicles and attempted to escape into the nearby forest, according to the Defence spokesperson.
