Lucknow, July 25 (NationPress) The Uttar Pradesh Tourism department has initiated extensive preparations for the forthcoming Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) 2025, scheduled to occur from September 25 to 29 at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida.
This five-day grand event aims to present Uttar Pradesh's tourism potential to a global audience by highlighting its vibrant cultural heritage, as well as unique local products and traditional handicrafts.
This initiative aligns with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision to transform Uttar Pradesh into a global tourism hotspot.
The UPITS-2025 serves as the premier trade event for the Uttar Pradesh government, uniting policymakers, international business leaders, trade representatives, and industry specialists. This event is pivotal in the state’s ambition to reach a one trillion-dollar economy, with tourism identified as a significant growth area.
As part of the event preparations, the Tourism Department is creating a vast stall that will exhibit the state's heritage sites, temple architecture, thematic tourism circuits, and PPP-based tourism projects, while also showcasing local crafts and items under the One District One Product (ODOP) initiative.
To enhance visitor interaction, the department will unveil digital tourism tools such as mobile applications, websites, and QR codes, facilitating easy access to information and seamless travel planning.
The stall will feature auto-navigation screens displaying popular tourist attractions in UP, alongside an Augmented Reality (AR) digital touch panel where visitors can capture selfies with images of at least six renowned tourist sites.
Preparations are also in progress to present traditional dances including Mayur Nritya (from the Braj region), tribal dance forms (from Sonbhadra and Lakhimpur), Bundeli Folk Dance (from Jhansi), and Kathak (Lucknow Gharana).
Each day, six brief performances lasting about five minutes will be held, offering visitors chances to take selfies with the artists.
The Tourism department will set up registration counters for event planning, B2B meetings, and will feature 20 co-exhibitors.
Working diligently, the Tourism department aims to ensure UPITS 2025 is a resounding success. The objective is not only to showcase Uttar Pradesh's rich cultural diversity to the world but also to stimulate the tourism sector and bolster the economy. This event is poised to deliver a memorable experience for millions of attendees and marks a significant milestone in promoting Uttar Pradesh as a premier tourist destination.
