Ayodhya, April 5 (NationPress) With only a day remaining until Ram Navami, the city is undergoing significant preparations for Shri Ram Janmotsav, as millions of pilgrims from India and beyond are anticipated to visit this sacred site on Sunday.

Comprehensive security measures have been established to facilitate a safe and enjoyable celebration. Surveillance is being conducted through drones and a vast network of CCTV cameras.

Inspector General of Police, Ayodhya Range, Praveen Kumar, stated: "CCTV systems have been deployed at all major locations, and drone monitoring is underway. Local residents, including boatmen and vendors, are actively participating in maintaining vigilance and reporting any suspicious activities."

To accommodate the expected crowds and increasing temperatures, coordination efforts are being made with the health department and civil administration. The IG remarked, "Everyone is collaborating to ensure effective crowd management and the comfort of devotees."

To manage the surge of pilgrims, special traffic and crowd control strategies have been implemented. "The vicinity surrounding the Ram Mandir, Kanak Bhawan, Hanuman Garhi, and Rampath has been segmented into zones. Internal detours will be arranged, if necessary, to facilitate movement," he added.

The district administration has also organized a variety of cultural events and exhibitions at Ram Katha Park. A significant highlight this year is the ‘Surya Tilak’ ceremony, where a beam of sunlight will bless the idol of Lord Ram at noon on Ram Navami. This unique celestial occurrence will be streamed live for devotees around the globe.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath encouraged citizens to watch the event on television. "On the auspicious occasion of Shri Ram Navami, tomorrow in Ayodhya Dham, Lord Surya will be seen performing the Tilak of Lord Shri Ram… Please tune in for this event on television," he posted on X.

Champat Rai, General Secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, emphasized that Ram Navami embodies not only a festival but also a remarkable blend of Indian culture, spirituality, and scientific tradition.

Devotional practices have already commenced within the temple grounds. Shri Ram Katha is being conducted daily at the Angad Tila courtyard by the esteemed storyteller Atul Krishna Bharadwaj Ji Maharaj.

Furthermore, the daily Navahan Parayan of Ramcharitmanas (8.30 a.m. – 11.30 a.m.) and recitations from the Valmiki Ramayana (8.30 a.m. - 11.30 a.m. and 3-6 p.m.) are occurring outside the sanctum sanctorum.

Rai mentioned that special Vedic rituals are being performed at the northeast corner of the temple, the site of the Pran Pratishtha Yagna held in January. Ten Vedapati Acharyas are chanting one lakh mantras each day for three hours. This havan will culminate in a Maha Yagya on Ram Navami.

On the festival day, Shri Ram Lala will be ceremonially bathed with holy water, Panchamrit, and traditional herbal mixtures at 6 a.m., followed by special Shringar and Bhog Arpan from 9.30 to 10.30 a.m.

At noon, during the Janmotsav celebration, a magnificent Aarti and Chhappan Bhog offering will occur. These significant events will be broadcast live on Doordarshan and other media channels.
