Key Decisions Anticipated as Ayodhya Ram Temple Nears Completion
Synopsis
Key Takeaways
New Delhi, March 21 (NationPress) A significant meeting of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is set to occur on Saturday in Ayodhya, where numerous vital decisions regarding temple management and visitor logistics are anticipated to be made.
Before this gathering, Nripendra Misra, Chairman of the Ram Temple Construction Committee, provided insights into the advancement of this monumental project, announcing that construction has reached its final phase. The overall investment in the temple complex is projected to be approximately Rs 1,800 crore, highlighting the project's grandeur and ambition.
A primary topic of discussion will likely be the arrangements for darshan at the seven additional temples situated within the complex. This includes the Sapt Rishi temples along the parikrama path, where access is expected to be granted to devotees following the upcoming Ram Navami festivities.
The Trust is also anticipated to deliberate on the conduct of religious ceremonies and events in the future. Sources suggest that large gatherings may be discouraged within the temple grounds, favoring a transition towards simpler, more traditional rituals. Flag-hoisting ceremonies at the seven temples are expected to be organized modestly to maintain spiritual dignity.
These developments arrive shortly after President Droupadi Murmu visited the temple earlier this week to engage in Vedic rituals and assess the progress of ongoing construction.
On Thursday, President Murmu installed the ‘Shri Ram Yantra’ at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple and offered prayers amid Vedic chants, marking a pivotal moment in the temple's construction.
The ‘Shri Ram Yantra’ has been positioned on the second floor of the temple, which is also its final level, symbolizing completion.
With this installation, the temple's construction is deemed complete.
Religious ceremonies were led by Vedic scholars from southern India, Kashi, and Ayodhya, under the supervision of priest Ganeshwar Shastri.
As the project approaches its conclusion and key operational decisions are still pending, today’s Trust meeting is expected to significantly influence the subsequent phase of the Ram Temple’s administration and functionality.
