Ayodhya, March 19 (NationPress) President Droupadi Murmu is set to arrive in Ayodhya today for a significant three-day visit focused on various sacred ceremonies at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple. Comprehensive security measures and preparations have been established ahead of her arrival.
During her stay, the President will inaugurate the Shri Ram Yantra and the Shri Ram Naam temple located on the second level of the temple complex, joining in Vedic rituals starting at approximately 9 a.m.
The ceremonies will be led by 51 esteemed Vedic scholars from regions including southern India, Kashi, and Ayodhya, under the supervision of priest Ganeshwar Shastri.
Additionally, the President will honor around 400 individuals who played vital roles in the temple's construction. She is also set to raise a flag at one of the outer precinct shrines, referred to as the parkota.
Officials have indicated that her convoy is anticipated to reach the temple complex by 11 a.m., where she will spend roughly four hours.
This event is expected to attract numerous religious and community leaders, including notable spiritual personalities. Approximately 5,000 special invitees have been extended invitations, and extensive arrangements for security, seating, transportation, and accommodations have been made.
In preparation for the visit, the city has been beautifully decorated, with roads leading to the temple adorned with saffron flags and decorative banners.
On the eve of the visit, workers were observed putting up banners across Ayodhya featuring images of the President, Narendra Modi, and Yogi Adityanath.
Discussing the arrangements, Ayodhya District Magistrate Nikhil Tikaram Funde shared with IANS, “We are committed to facilitating a seamless event.” He noted that ‘VIP darshan’ will be suspended during the President’s visit, but general devotees can enter except while she is present.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Ayodhya, Gaurav Grover, stated that thorough security protocols have been established.
“We have been thoroughly briefed on security measures and our responsibilities during President Murmu’s visit. Every detail, from her arrival at the airport to the route she will take to the venue, has been meticulously planned,” he explained.
He further assured, “We will also ensure that the general public visiting for ‘darshan’ will face no inconveniences.”
Officials have also suggested that the temple trust is contemplating granting access to additional shrines within the complex for devotees following the President’s events. Under this proposed plan, around 5,000 devotees per day might be allowed to visit temples within the parkota area using a pass system.
